Case Study: Thimble Small-Capacity Urinary Bladder

A 50-year-old female presented with a one-year history of the following symptoms:

  • Frequent urination every 30 minutes throughout the day and night

  • Severe urgency with inability to hold urine

  • Intense pelvic pain, both anteriorly and posteriorly

Initial urine examination revealed pus cells; however, urine culture showed no bacterial growth. A CT scan demonstrated a markedly small-capacity “thimble” urinary bladder.

Based on the clinical profile and imaging findings, the most probable diagnosis is Genitourinary Tuberculosis (TB).
